RELEX Group took part in the research and practice conference “Innovations in CAD-2014” that took place in the Russian Academy of Sciences presidium building. The conference was organized by SDI Solution, a Russian vendor of special-purpose systems and system integrator in the field of technological preparation of discrete manufacturing, and supported by the Russian Union of Machine Manufacturers, Defense Enterprise Support League and Skolkovo Fund.
The conference focused on import substitution in the sphere of information technologies used in machine manufacturing. The leading Russian developers made reports on PLM, CAD, САЕ, MDM, MES and DBMS.
In his speech, Deputy General Manager of RELEX Vitaly Maximov noted the problems that many Russian companies now encounter due to the sanctions. Mr. Maximov briefly stated the possible problem solutions, their advantages and disadvantages, including the potential dangers of using freely distributed software.
To develop technologically independent solutions for machine industry enterprises, RELEX offered its high-security product, DBMS Linter BASTION. Vitaly Maximov spoke about the main advantages of the Russian DBMS, its certified security complex implemented at the system kernel level, tools facilitating the migration of applications to Linter, and successful experience in migrating automated systems for customers.
After the speech, the RELEX representative answered the questions of the audience and discussed the potential risks of import substitution and their minimization with colleagues.
